GREENER GLEN ELLYN
Greener Glen Ellyn is a multi-year campaign that began in January 2018 with the goal of educating the public on the sustainability efforts of the Glen Ellyn Park District and to help establish the District as an eco-friendly leader in the community. The campaign also aims to educate residents on what they can do at home to help the environment. Topics of focus are selected each year in collaboration with the District’s Naturalist.

GREENER GLEN ELLYN FACEBOOK PAGE
A dedicated Facebook page, and new campaign logo, was launched in 2019. The goal of the page is to twofold: 1) a platform to share Glen Ellyn Park District efforts and 2) to help spread the word about other efforts and opportunities to get involved in Glen Ellyn.
Other Efforts
Contests run via social media to increase engagement including a “bug hotel" giveaway during Illinois Pollinator Week and "Get Outdoors" tumbler giveaways during Opt Outside month.
Tree Tags: During our “Benefits of Trees" month, tree tags (previously provided by The Morton Arboretum) were displayed on important trees at each of our high traffic facilities.
